2) Call Your Elected Official TODAY to help pass the 2017 Dream Act and to #DefendDACA.

You could say something like:

  • I am calling on (insert legislator’s name) to work with Congress to enact the bipartisan Dream Act of 2017 that provides permanent protection for Dreamers.

AND

  • I also urge President Trump to preserve the popular and successful Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, which provides important protections and opportunities for nearly 800,000 Dreamers.
  • Dreamers enrich and strengthen our cities, states, schools, businesses, congregations, and families.

Call the Capitol Switch Board to get in Contact with your Senator or House Rep

3) Sign CIRC's Petition Asking CO Attorney General Cynthia Coffman #DefendDACA in Court if Trump Decides to End DACA

Colorado public officials are known for their commitment to service, integrity, teamwork, respect, and courage when representing the people of Colorado, which is why it is more important than ever for Colorado Attorney General Cynthia Coffman to defend Colorado families and our economy by defending the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program in court now that the potential end to the program is in sight on Sept 5th.

4) With your support here’s what we can do to protect immigrant families in Colorado

  • Provide immigration relief to those who qualify for citizenship and other adjustment of status processes, including defending DACA recipients; meanwhile work to expand immigration legal assistance statewide.
  • Pass legislation to defend Sheriffs who refuse to honor ICE detainers, ending unjust detentions and deportations. CIRC will work with local Police, Mayors and Counties to come out in defense of sanctuary policies.
  • Expand and fix the state driver’s licenses program for the undocumented to increase the number of individuals who can access and benefit from this relief across Colorado.
  • Prepare communities through Know Your Rights trainings to protect and defend themselves if faced with deportation.
